Christine Weber is an actor/director who has recently returned to her native Twin Cities after living in Los Angeles and several years “on the road” at theaters across the country. A graduate of the University of Minnesota/Guthrie BFA Actor Training Program, she has been working on stage since she was 8 years old. Since graduating, she has performed at the Guthrie Theater (seven seasons as actor as well as several assistant directing projects), Walking Shadow Theatre Company, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Great Lakes Theater, Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, Baruch Performing Arts Center (off-Broadway run of Romeo and Juliet with The Acting Company, as well as national tour), and more. Short film credits include The Final Scene (with Sonny Valicenti) and Relationship Status, which premiered at the Saint Paul Frozen Film Festival in 2018. Directing credits include Striking 12 (Bloomington Civic Theatre); Tigers Be Still (Laughing Wild Productions); and most recently Images of Akhmatova, an original production for LOFT Recital arranged by Christine that wove spoken-word poetry of Anna Akhmatova between four classical song cycles inspired by Akhmatova’s works. She has assistant directed at the Guthrie Theater, Walking Shadow Theatre Company, and American Players Theatre.
