They Sang WHAT?!? An Evening of Unconventional Songs

Opera and Musical Theater have created beloved characters through the years that speak to the hearts and soul of many. The stories these characters tell transcend gender, race, creed and sexuality. Yet, there are traditional aspects to most performances that call for a specific "type" of actor to portray these classic characters. We at the Good Arts Collective think that is crap. Any performer at any time should be able to express themselves through any song, any scene, any time, EVER! If you agree, we have a treat for you.

This May, The Good Arts Collective presents"THEY SANG WHAT?! an evening of unconventional songs". You will hear your favorite show tunes, arias, and some new pieces sung from different (and possibly more interesting) points of view. How many times have you said Cavaradossi's aria at the end of Tosca would sound awesome if a soprano sang it? Don't most of your conversations end with how even MORE amazing "Les Miserables" would be if Jean Val Jean was played by a Latina? Well at the Good Arts Collective, that's how we think. Come join us for an entertaining and unforgettable night of song as we celebrate what makes us different through the one thing we all have in common: the love of music.

Responsible Meg has always taken care of her bipolar younger brother Matt. But when she decides to get pregnant — and have her embryos screened for bipolar disorder — is she taking the idea of “being responsible” too far? A funny and surprising play about bioethics, siblings, and the limits of unconditional love. Join us for the public performance of this year's 2017 living room tour. It is a Pay What We're Worth show. Come see the show and then pay whatever it was worth to you after the show (cash, check, or card).
